I’ve always been fascinated with mechanical things. When I was 2½ years old, I was mesmerized by a crane working in our city. When I was 5 years old, I begged my parents to attend the launch and first test flight of the Orion spacecraft (EFT-1) from Cape Canaveral.
I’m 17 now, a high school senior, and I want to be an Aerospace Engineer. I want to study with people who are as passionate as I am about advanced aerospace technologies and the potential they hold - not only for human and unmanned exploration, but also for solving some of our most daunting problems here on Earth.
Besides challenging myself with a rigorous STEM and Humanities course load, I’m undertaking an interesting passion project - using a vintage Spitfire race car as an engineering platform to investigate performance, reliability, and safety improvements.
When I’m not studying or working on my project, I enjoy tennis, martial arts, and weight training. I’m testing for my Tae Kwon Do black belt in August 2026 and my amateur radio extra class license in October. This year I’ll be tutoring calculus and serving as a senior peer counselor. I’m looking forward to collaborating with and supporting my fellow classmates as we all prepare for college next year.
